Central Oregon’s Maker Faire LEGO Application

To enter your MOC (My Own Creation) in this year’s Central Oregon Maker Faire, please complete the Application below.

  • How to participate

    Get creative and build anything you like using LEGO bricks and pieces, showcasing your original design! Please refrain from bringing official LEGO sets unless you have modified them to create something unique. You have the time from now until September 8th to work on your custom LEGO creation. Collaborative builds are encouraged and welcome! The finished creations will be displayed at the Central Oregon Maker Faire on Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th!

    Terms & Conditions

    – Your LEGO creation must be an original design (modified or highlighted sets are acceptable).
    – Submissions must be registered by September 2nd to ensure space availability.
    – For collaborative projects, please register under the age group of the oldest builder.
    – All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
    – Each builder and one accompanying parent or guardian will receive free admission to both days (Saturday & Sunday) of the Maker Faire. Additional tickets can be purchased for $5.00.
    – If you are running out of time to finish your creation, you are welcome to set up and work on it at the Expo during the entire weekend!

    Transportation

    Please bear in mind that your LEGO build should be transportable. As you construct your creation, make sure it is sturdy and secure. We suggest using a plastic tub with a lid, labeled with your name and contact phone number, for easy transportation and setup.

    Drop off Instructions:

    To ensure a smooth drop-off process, please take note of the following requirements:

    – Register your build before dropping it off to ensure we have enough space for everyone.
    – You are responsible for drop off and pick up of your build.
    – First Come, first served will determine where your build is placed.

    The coordinator for this section can help make suggestions and try to accommodate your request but the LEGO coordinator will have the final say.

    Set up

    Set up will take place on Friday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All builds must be set up by 6:00 pm on Friday evening. If you are unable to set up by this time, please contact Patty at 718-812-0990 or patty at mobrickz dot com.

    Tear down

    Builders can begin packing up their creations at 4:00 pm on Sunday. Every builder is responsible for packing, transporting, and removing their build. Creations cannot be left or held after 6:00 pm on Sunday, without any exceptions.

    Central Oregon Maker Faire will not be held responsible for any lost or missing items.
